About the Event

TAG Network Midlands presents Online Development Session: HOW THE KICKSTART SCHEME CAN SUPPORT BUSINESS & YOUNG PEOPLE in partnership with South & City College Birmingham

To equally support business growth and to encourage apprenticeships, from 1st August 2020 to 31st January 2021, the government will pay employers £2,000 for each new under-25 apprentice they hire and £1,500 for each new 25+ apprentice they hire.

The ‘KickStart Scheme’ pays for 21 hours of work for a young unemployed person as the Apprenticeship New Start Grants offers organisations up to £3000 for new hire apprentices. This takes the total incentive for taking on a 16-18-year-old apprentice to £3,000.

Join us and special guest Rebecca Waterfield, Head of Employer Engagement at South & City College Birmingham to find out more about how this scheme can support your business and young talent.
